Stockholm City hall

One of Stockholm’s most iconic buildings

Stockholm City Hall was inaugurated in 1923 and designed by architect Ragnar Östberg in a style that combines Swedish National Romanticism with influences from the Italian Renaissance.

Built in red brick, it is best known for its 106-metre tower topped with the Three Crowns. The building is also famous for the Blue Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquet is held, and the Golden Hall, decorated with stunning mosaics.

Today, City Hall serves both as a political centre and one of Stockholm’s most visited attractions, offering guided tours and panoramic views of the city. It is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
